The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has issued an awareness guide for the most commonly used home medical devices and supplies. This guide includes detailed information on how to use these devices safely and general alerts for their proper handling.
The manual covers a variety of home medical devices and supplies, including ventilators, sleep apnea aids, injection pumps, oxygen concentrators, pregnancy detectors, insulin pens, contact lenses and their preservation solutions, wheelchairs, prescription glasses, medical vaporizers, humidifiers, and peritoneal dialysis devices.
The SFDA encourages consumers to report any problems or incidents related to these devices by contacting the National Center for Medical Devices and Supplies Reporting at [https://ade.sfda.gov.sa/Home/NcmdrReport] or by calling the unified number (19999).
