The SFDA Organizes a Workshop entitled Development of technical regulations and specifications for plastic materials for food

<p>The food sector is organized by the Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), represented by the Executive Directorate of Technical Regulations and Food Standards and the Food Pollution Monitoring Center (Food Safety Detection Section), held a workshop entitled "Development of technical regulations and specifications for food-related plastic materials".</p>

<p>The workshop will be attended by a group of experts and specialists from the USA, the Netherlands and Australia. The workshop will discuss the following topics:</p>

<p>Development in the regulations and specifications of food packaging plastic materials with a comparative study of the systems of some countries (Benchmarking) in that field.<br />
The aspects related to the application and follow-up of compliance with the regulations and legislation for food-related plastic materials and containers.</p>

The workshop will be attended by several representatives of the relevant government departments and institutions and specialists from the Authority.
