Overview
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) was established by Cabinet Resolution No. (1) dated 7/1/1424 AH as an independent authority with legal personality, reporting directly to the Prime Minister. It is entrusted with all procedural, executive, and regulatory tasks currently carried out by existing authorities to ensure the safety of food and drugs for humans and animals, the safety of biological and chemical products, as well as electronic devices affecting human health.
