SFDA Warns from Blue Bell Ice Cream

SFDA warned from buying or consuming Blue Bell Ice Cream due to its contamination with bacteria. In a statement, SFDA explained that it  observed through the Rapid Alarm of Food & Crisis Management Centre an alert from  the Disease Control & Protection Centre ‘CDC’ advising that Blue Bell Creameries Company in USA recalled Blue Bell Ice Cream Products, packed in different weights and flavours, due to their contamination with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.

SFDA added that the contaminated products include all products from the company factory in Oklahoma, USA and can be identified by the code date ending with one of the letters (O,P,Q,R,S,T). These products can be identified by the code date at the bottom of the pack. SFDA advised consumers to immediately get rid of these product they may have in hand, confirming that it addressed the respective authorities to take the necessary action to make sure that the local markets are free from these products.
