SFDA Warned Consumers from using ‘ Magrim Super Diet” Product, promoted by street-vendors and websites with claims that it is an efficient natural product for weight Losing while it is not registered in SFDA and, bears false claims and manipulated with a restricted pharmaceutical substance.
SFDA stated that its inspectors observed the presence of ‘Magrim Super Diet” product which is promoted by street-vendors, websites and social media, with claims that it is an efficient natural product for weight Losing, while SFDA analysis revealed that this is a false and misleading claim, as the product is manipulated with ‘Sibutramine” - a restricted pharmaceutical substance due to its risks to the health and its safety is not guaranteed. This substance has dangerous side-effects such as high susceptibility to heart and cardiovascular disease.
SFDA advised consumers to avoid using this product and to dispose of any samples they may have in hand, stressing the importance of avoiding the use of unregistered or released pharmaceutical products by SFDA.
