Saudi Food and Drug Authority alert all consumers against using two products of powered toothbrushes (UP & UP kids and TopCare Clifford THE BIG RED DOG), manufactured by Ranir Corporation Company

SFDA has become aware that Ranir Corporation is recalling all lots of the below powered toothbrushes ( table 1) because the tufted disk may become detached from the power brush handle due to a design defect. If the tuft retention disk detaches from the handle, it is a potential choking hazard for children three years old and younger.

SFDA assures that the affected powered toothbrushes have not been cleared by SFDA via Saudi Arabia ports of entry. However, consumers may get them through any other means.
Saudi Food and Drug Authority recommends all consumers to stop using the bove affected products.
Saudi Food and Drug Authority encourages all consumers and healthcare providers  to report any adverse event associated with medical devices through the National Center for Medical Devices Reporting :
