GCC Patent Office Visits SFDA

<p>A delegation from the Patent Office of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States has visited the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the National Drug and Cosmetics Control Laboratory in Riyadh.</p>

<p>During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the procedures carried out by the authority in terms of registration and evaluation procedures for human medicines and methods of analyzing and verifying them. The service of “Categorizing an Innovative Product” was also reviewed, which comes within the first phase of the “Innovate Initiative” aimed at facilitating procedures and requirements for independent researchers and inventors.</p>
