SFDA Participates in Kuwait Forum for Health Care Systems

<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">“Kuwait  Health Care Technology Systems &amp; Regulations Forum” , organized by Kuwaiti Engineers Association, was held in Kuwait on Thursday 19/6/1433H (10/5/2012) and hosted a delegation from SFDA Medical Devices and Products Sector.</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify"> H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Sulaiman Altayar, SFDA Vice President for Medical Devices and Products Sector delivered a brief presentation about building and development of SFDA,  and ten reviewed Medical Devices Sector achievements , aspirations and challenges</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">The Forum reviewed the Saudi experience in registration and licensing of medical devices &amp; products manufacturers, importers and authorized representatives of foreign manufacturers and marketing permission, post-marketing inspection mechanism and the role of medical devices &amp; products sector in awareness of consumer, business sector and health care providers and finally reviewed some automated systems established within the sector.</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify"> SFDA delegation was headed by. Dr. Saleh bin Sulaiman Altayar, SFDA Vice President for Medical Devices and Products Sector accompanied by Eng’r. Abdullah Alrasheed, executive director for inspection and roll out of automated systems, Eng’r. Abdullah Aldebaib, executive director of registration &amp; licenses, Eng’r Essam Almohandis, executive director of surveillance and biometrics, Mr. Abdullah Thabet, director, consumer awareness, Eng’r. Mohammed Al Hayan, director of monitoring &amp; control, Eng’r Omar Aljasem, director of marketing permission in delivering detailed presentations on Sector’s role in regulation of medical devices &amp; products control in the Saudi market.</p>
