Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Merchants Chair Hosts H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Food and Drug Authority

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">​H.E Chief Executive officer of Saudi Food &amp; Drug Authority delivered yesterday a lecture about SFDA tasks in Jeddah Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry, where he was received by Sheikh Saleh Kamil, Chairman of the Board of Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry <br /><br />At his part, Dr. Al Kanhal explained in the Merchants Chair Forum, that the most difficult challenge faced by control authorities is how to retain their trained resources. Also the economic boom witnessed by the Kingdom puts heavy burdens on SFDA necessitating it to put more effort in view of the diversified imports from all over the world. </p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P"><div>Dr. Al Kanhal added that the purpose of SFDA meeting with merchants is to explain SFDA’s stand regarding rejection of entry of violating shipments to the Kingdom, putting consumer health and safety on top of all other considerations, which is the primary goal SFDA was established for.</div>
<div>It worth mentioning that the forum was attended by SFDA Vice President for Food Sector, Dr. Mehaizie, SFDA Vice President for Drug Sector, Dr Bawazir and SFDA Vice President for Medical Devices &amp; Products Sector, Dr. Al Tayar. Towards the end of the meeting H.E. CEO received a memorial shield from the Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry.</div>
