SFDA Warns about “Al Haramain” Potable Water due to exceeding allowed Bromate limit

<p align="justify">SFDA has recently collected samples of various potable drinking water, locally produced and packed, from different production dates to check for compliance with GCC Standard Specifications No. ( 1025/2009- Potable Drinking Water).The said specification set out the maximum permissible limit of Bromate at (10 ppm). Laboratory analysis of Al Haramain water samples “size 4&amp;5 Gallons”, produced by Al Haramain water plant in Dammam Province, revealed that they exceeded the maximum allowed limit of Bromate. </p>
<p align="justify">Therefore, SFDA advises consumers not to use this water and dispose of any stock they may have of this brand. Moreover, SFDA has addressed the concerned authorities to take the necessary action to force the said factory to recall its product from the local market and stop production until they comply with the above GCC Standard Specifications for Bromate.</p>
<p align="justify">However, SFDA will continue checking and monitoring of all potable water plants and products in the local market and take the necessary disciplinary actions against violating plants. <br />Wishing you good health. <br /></p>
