A Team from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority Visits the Malaysian Ministry of Health

Consistent with the directives of Dr. Mohammed Al-Kanhal the President of the Food and Drug Authority, which state the exchange of visits and cooperating with different global monitoring agencies which serves the authority in developing regulations for all its different sectors. The General Manager of the Medical Devices and Products sector, Dr. Saled Al-Tayyar and the Manager of Applications and Databases department, Eng. Khalid Al-Resheed, visited the Malaysian Ministry of Health during the period 25-26/8/1427h to view registration systems, monitoring devices and medical products. </p>
<p>Dr. Al-Tayyar affirmed that the team viewed ways of organizing and registering devices in addition to tracking enterprises that operate in the medical devices and products field. Mechanisms of cooperation between the SFDA and Malaysian Ministry of Health in technical aspects were discussed as well as policies and legislations in areas of training and support.</p>
<p>The Malaysian Ministry of Health is ready to cooperate with the SFDA in the fields of monitoring devices and medical products. A memorandum of understanding between the Malaysian Ministry of Health and SFDA will be prepared to identify ways of cooperation.</p>
