The SFDA Organizes a Workshop about Drug Pricing

The SFDA, represented by its drug sector, intends to organize a workshop about drugs pricing, in Riyadh Intercontinental during the 15-16-5-1429H, 20-21-5-2008, in order to improve the mechanism of drug pricing, to have pricing rules that assure providing medicine around the Kingdom with suitable prices and fulfill the interest of all parties. The SFDA, by this workshop, seeks to review the monitoring regulations that relate to its duties and improve them by suggesting the needed modifications.<br />During the workshop, several issues will be discussed, like recognizing the techniques of international monitoring authorities in pricing drugs process and making use of their experiences, examining rules of drugs pricing in Arabian and Gulf countries and employ them, identifying the applications of drug economies in fields of drugs pricing, reviewing the international experiences in this field and distinguishing the view points of concerned people about policies of organizational authorities in regard of drugs pricing.<br />It worth mentioning that representatives of the International Bank and some of the European Union countries will participate in the workshop, beside representatives of drugs monitoring authorities in the GCC and Arabian countries.</p>
