The SFDA Organizes a workshop Entitled: "Food Safety is Everybody Responsibility"

The SFDA organizes a workshop entitled &quot;Food Safety is Everybody Responsibility&quot; within the first national campaign of food safety awareness named &quot;No for Food Poisoning&quot; which started on Tuesday 28-10 to 5-11- 1429H, while the workshop will start on the coming Sunday 4-11-1429H that equals 2-11-2008, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the lectures hall of the SFDA headquarter. <br />The workshop will be inaugurated by his Excellency the vice president of food affairs Dr. Ibraheem bin Saad Almuhaize, who will lecture about HACCP and how to make use of it to prevent food poisoning accidents. After that, his Excellency the Under Secretary of the Municipality and Rural Affairs Ministry Mr. Abdurrahman bin Abdulmuhsin Almansoor will shed light on the role of food inspectors in minimizing cases of food poisoning. Dr. Bakri Hussain Hasan, a faculty member in the College of Food Sciences in King Saud University, will talk about the safety of food packaging and wrapping systems. Yet, Mr. Munther bin Traad Alharthy, the General Manager of Al- Rabie Saudi Company for Food will explain the private sector experiences regarding modern systems of food safety. The workshop will be ended by a lecture about the role of media in educating people about food safety addressed by his Excellency Dr. Fahd bin Abdulaziz Alkuraiji, a faculty member in the College of Arts in King Saud University; then attendants will have opportunity to discuss and inquire about any point.</p>
