The Council of Ministers Approves Cosmetic Regulations

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">He Council of Ministers approved, in its session today chaired by The Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Cosmetics Regulations and prepared a Royal Decree to this effect.<br />The main characteristics of this regulation involve:</p>

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">1. Enforcement of its provisions on cosmetic products, their factories, warehouses and trading. </p>

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">2. SFDA shall issue technical bylaws and standard specifications for cosmetics, their factories and staff requirements. SFDA shall identify the restricted materials and limited materials used in cosmetic products and publish them on its website. In addition, </p>

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">3. SFDA shall verify conformity of cosmetic products with the approved technical bylaws and standard specifications and conditions. However, cosmetic products shall not be imported or traded within the Kingdom unless it is registered in SFDA and a registration certificate to this effect is obtained.</p>
