The SFDA CEO Meets with EIT CEO to Enhance Saudi-EU Collaboration in Food Innovation

During his visit to the European Commission, the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey met with the CEO of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), Mr. Richard Zaltzman, in Brussels, Belgium.

The meeting focused on the SFDA efforts to support research, innovation, and exchange of expertise, developing sustainable solutions for the needs of global food markets. Dr. Aljadhey reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem and attracting food innovation startups by offering advanced technology accelerators and incubators, in alignment with the Saudi Vision 2030.

Strengthening international partnerships and developing innovative food solutions were also key topics on the meeting’s agenda. This approach reflects the role Saudi Arabia plays to attract innovators and ensure food safety through research & development.
