SFDA Organizes Workshop on Standard Specifications for Medical Devices and Supplies at Riyadh Chamber

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), in collaboration with the Riyadh Chamber, hosted a workshop titled "Standard Specifications for Medical Devices and Supplies" on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The event was attended by approximately 50 representatives from local manufacturing companies.

The workshop focused on defining standardization and the significance of standard specifications for medical devices and supplies. Participants reviewed the importance of these specifications in supporting the industry. Several local manufacturers shared their experiences, discussing how standard specifications help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the support provided by the Authority.

This workshop is part of ongoing initiatives to emphasize the importance of standard specifications in strengthening the medical technology industry and demonstrating compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Medical Devices and Supplies System and its Executive Regulations.
