CEO of the SFDA Meets with International Counterparts in Brazil

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, held meetings yesterday in Brasília with leaders of key international counterpart organizations during his official visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil. Dr. Aljadhey is leading the SFDA delegation to participate in the annual International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) Summit, taking place from November 12th to 13th.

Dr. Aljadhey met with Dr. Yuan Lin, Assistant Commissioner of China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA); Mr. Sang Bong Kim, Director General of the Drug Safety Office at Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS); and Dr. Ton de Boer, Chairman of the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board.

The discussions focused on strategies to enhance cooperation between the SFDA and these organizations in areas of mutual interest. Dr. Aljadhey emphasized the importance of strengthening international collaboration to ensure the safety of food, drugs, and medical products.

Additionally, the CEO of the SFDA visited one of Brazil's largest pharmaceutical companies, renowned for its advanced solutions in the production and development of both human and veterinary medicines. Dr. Aljadhey received a comprehensive tour of the company's pharmaceutical laboratories and production facilities.

These meetings reflect the SFDA's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with counterparts globally.
