The SFDA CEO Meets with Chinese Companies to Discuss Investment Opportunities in Saudi Arabia

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, met with several companies in the food, pharmaceutical, and medical product industries. H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to China; Mr. Wang Maochun, Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCMHPIE); and Ms. Li Xiangying, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Dr. Aljadhey provided an overview of the SFDA's regulatory activities. He discussed investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and the registration processes for companies interested in entering the Saudi market. He emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to ensuring the safety of food and medicine for all citizens and residents.

The roundtable meeting was organized by the SFDA in collaboration with the Saudi Commercial Attaché in Beijing, CCCMHPIE, and CCPIT. This meeting highlights the importance of collaboration between Saudi Arabia and China in fostering partnerships.
