The "SFDA" Warns Consumers not to use "AGIVA BEARD OIL MOUSTACHE 02", as it contains a High Concentration of prohibited Substance

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) is warning against the use of "AGIVA BEARD OIL MOUSTACHE 02" due to high content of a prohibite substance "octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane"
The SFDA had observed an alert issued by the EU Rapid Alert System for Non-Food Products (RAPEX) about a product that contains a high concentration of prohibited substance, which does not comply with the safety requirements of cosmetics and personal care products regulations SFDA.CO/GSO 1943:2016.
 Exposure to high amount of "octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane" may cause serious health risks to the consumer.
The product known as " AGIVA BEARD OIL MOUSTACHE 02" for "AGIVA" brand. Manufactured by the "KOZMOTEK PAZARLAMA KOZMETİK İTHALAT İHRACAT SANAY" factory with the barcode number (8698703025523)
"  Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane" is an oily liquid substance that is slightly soluble in water and it used in the manufacture of chemical silicon.
The substance is classified as prohibited substance for use in cosmetic products due to the possibility of causing adverse effects on the Reproductive System.
The SFDA advises consumers to avoid using the product and dispose any sample they may have, emphasizing the importance of purchasing products from reliable sources.
The SFDA has taken the necessary actions in cooperation with specialized authorities in order to follow up the recall of product from the market, ban their entry to the Kingdom and take the formal steps against violators.
