SFDA has warned consumers from a number of "EnviroKidz Gluten-Free Cereals" products that produced by Nature’s Path Foods in USA. Patients with Celiac Disease and Gluten Sensitivity should not consume the cereals duo to exceed the permissible level of gluten regarding Gulf Technical Regulation for Gluten Free Foods (2012/1021GSO).

SFDA has clarified that the first product is "Choco Chimps" , weight 10 ounces (284 grams), bar code [058449870241] and expiry date 27/08/2019, while the second product is "Gorilla Munch",  weight 10 ounces (284 grams), bar code [058449860020] and expiry date 21/09/2019-24/08/2019 and the third product is "Jungle Munch", weight 10 ounces (284 grams), bar code [058449870289] and expiry date 01/08/ 2019.

SFDA has revealed that eating foods with ingredients containing gluten by patients with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity may lead to gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, skin rash and headache. Additionally, it may causing immune system disorders, such as congestion, breathing difficulties and other symptoms.

SFDA had advised the consumers who suffer from celiac disease or gluten sensitivity to avoid consume the above-mentioned product and dispose any item they may have. Additionally, the authority will continue follow up the necessary actions to ensure that products not entering the Saudi markets.
