يجب ان يتم الترميز داخل الباركود بالصيغة YYMMDD فقط وهذا ماتنص عليه معاييرGS1، أما في الطباعة بجانب الباركود فيمكن تغييرها للصيغة MMYYYY أو SEP 2019.
