A Swedish Delegation visits SFDA

<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">A Swedish delegation, headed by the Swedish Vice Minister of Health Mrs. Lina Formerk visited SFDA yesterday. The delegation was received by H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almish’al. The meeting reviewed the mutual relations between the two parties, particularly in the field of drug and medical devices &amp; products. The Swedish delegation and Swedish private sector representatives overviewed the regulations, procedures and requirements related to marketing of drug and clearance of all types and forms of pharmaceutical products and to the electronic clearance process for medical devices and products, through the presentation delivered by SFDA showing their approved mechanism to ensure safety, quality and efficacy of drug and safety and efficiency of medical devices &amp; products.</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">Yje meeting was attended by H.E. The Vice President for Drug Sector, Dr. Saleh Bawazir and the Acting Vice President for Medical Devices &amp; Products, Engineer Ali Al Dalaan, the senior executives in both sectors in addition to the Director of International Cooperation Department. At the end of the meeting the Swedish Vice Minister of Health received a memorial shield from SFDA, where she expressed her admiration of the high level attained by SFDA in the field of laws and legislations regulating drug and medical devices &amp; products market.<br /></p>
