SFDA warns about Cosmetics containing high percentage of lead

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">Within the framework of cosmetics monitoring program, SFDA collected and analyzed several samples of facial makeup products of different trademarks to ensure that they are free from heavy metals and bacterial contamination</p>

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">Analysis proved that three of the samples are contaminated with high percentage of lead, exceeding the allowed limit in GSO 1943/2009 Standard Specifications. SFDA addressed the concerned authorities in order to recall these products from the markets and ban their entry to the Kingdom.</p>
