"SFDA" Renewed Certificates for 5800 Drugs and 900 Herbal products

<p class="ms-rteElement-P" >SFDA confirmed the completion of update and renewal of certificates for more than 5800 drugs and 900 health herbals .</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">This came during an extensive meeting held by SFDA with officials of companies and pharmaceutical plants, at Saudi Chambers Council in Riyadh, in order to explain the mechanisms and procedures relating to the registration and regulation factories and pharmaceutical companies by SFDA systems and regulations.</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">The Vice President for Drug sector, Dr. Ibrahim Juffali, emphasize that SDFA is open to communication with the pharmaceutical companies and factories, so as to facilitate its work procedures, and overcome any obstacles that may encounter.</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">Al Juffali talked about the renewal and update of procedures that will be easy through SFDA site, in Arabic and English, pointing out to the importance of accuracy in data recording.</p>
<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">In addition, Pharmacist Abdullah Duraibi, Director of Regulatory Affairs spoke About the vision of SFDA to be a regional leader in the control of drugs and cosmetics, and offering services professionally to contribute  to protection and promotion of health in the Kingdom, He said: &quot;SFDA is seeking to protect public health, through safety, quality and effectiveness of guarantee and the availability of human and veterinary drugs, through application of a national control system compatible with international best practices, and to provide  scientific-based pharmacological information on to the public and health professionals.&quot;</p>

<p class="ms-rteElement-P" style="text-align:justify">He also mentioned that  updates have been made to manuals and electronic programs, pointing out that SFDA established registered certificates for more than 3,900 drug and more than 600 health herbal products, and renewed expired drug certificates for more than 1,900 drugs and 300 health herbal products.</p>
