SFDA Participates in the Optimal Use of Antimicrobial Drug for Animal Health Conference

<p>SFDA has participated in the Second Annual Conference of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) to antimicrobial resistance and optimal use of antimicrobial drug for animal health, held in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco.</p>
<div style="text-align:justify">The Head of Veterinary Products Assessment Department in the Executive Directorate of Pharmaceutical Products Assessment (Drug Sector), Dr. Mohamed Arifi represented SFDA in the conference was organized by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE).</div>

<div style="text-align:justify">More than 500 participants from 154 countries attended the conference, where they discussed the challenges faced by the countries due to the spread of bacterial resistance to antibacterial in animal health and the optimal use of antibiotics. The conference also discussed developing the cooperation mechanism for reducing the phenomenon and issuing specialized manuals.</div>
