SFDA Delegation Visits Kuwait Ministry of Health

<p>Saudi Food &amp; Drug Authority (SFDA) delegation visited recently Kuwait Ministry of Health to discuss issues of common interest and cooperation prospects between both sides.</p>

<p>His Excellency Kuwaiti Health Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mustafa Reda met with the SFDA delegation headed by SFDA Executive Vice President of the Drug Sector, Dr. Adel Al-Harf, Executive Director of Pharmacovigilance Dr. Ali Al-Shahrani and number of experts.</p>

<p>The meeting included discussing the common issues, areas of enhancing joint cooperation, transferring the knowledge of the governmental control actions and exchanging the expertise and information between the two sides.</p>

<p>SFDA delegation was briefed on the procedures and mechanisms of the assessment, clearance, laboratory analysis and storage of pharmaceutical products imported to the State of Kuwait. The delegation also paid a field visit to the departments of control, laboratories and pharmaceutical warehouses in the Ministry.</p>

<p>For its part, SFDA delegation reviewed the control actions on local and imported medicines to the Kingdom, and their compatibility with the procedures adopted by the Kuwaiti side with the aim of integrating the government control actions in the two countries.</p>
