SFDA’s CEO: Safety and availability of products supports tourism in Asir Region

<p>His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, met today with the CEOs of food, drug, device and medical supplies companies in Asir region, at the headquarters of the Abha Chamber.</p>

<p>H.E. Dr. Aljadhey thanked the Chamber for organizing the meeting, stressing the Authority's keenness to communicate with the private sector in all regions, to enhance the level of services provided and support investment.</p>

<p>His Excellency stated, "The safety and availability of products supports tourism in the Asir Region.” H.E. stressed the importance of product safety and adherence to the specifications set by the authority, to maintain the health and safety of consumers in the Kingdom. </p>

<p>H.E. explained that the safety of products supports continuity and provides opportunities for export, especially since Saudi products are now being exported to European markets.</p>
