Saudi FDA, represented by Drug Sector, held The 4th. Meeting for f human beings, herbal and veterinary Drug Companies and Agents in Jeddah on 29/5/1432H with the purpose of awareness of all concerned drug importers and manufacturers of the new mechanisms and regulations established by SFDA, upon taking over drug control function, recently.</p>

Dr. Saleh Bawazir, SFDA Vice President for Drug Affairs addressed the audience with an introduction of SFDA’s role, mission and vision in order to realize safety and efficacy of drug, and encouraged all agents to apply all possible means to ensure obtaining high quality drugs. Then exexutie departments of Drug Sector introduced their roles and functions to the audience, e.g. Licensing department, Drug Evaluation &amp; Standardization department, Inspection &amp; Regulation Enforcement Department, Cusroms Points of EWntry Department, Pharmacovigilence &amp; Drug Safety Department and Drug Licensing Department.</p>

The meeting was adjourned by an open discussion and questions and answers about SFDA’s mechanism and regulations in the area of drug and medicines with respect to drug agents, companies and manufacturers</p>

It worth mentioning that SFDA holds, from time to time, several meetings with drug agents, companies and manufacturers to make them aware of drug industry regulations, controls, marketing and tracking drug effects and efficacy.</p>
