"International Medical Device Regulatory Monitor" published an article about MDPRC titled "Saudi Arabia Launches Medical Devices Reporting System".

The American magazine, in the issue published on 10/3/2008, indicated that the Centre of Medical Devices Problem Reporting follows the implementation of Medical Devices National Registry (MDNR).

The article also indicated that the center will serve several purposes :
<ul>
<li>Maintain safety principles as the device market grows;</li>
<li>Reduce the likelihood of device-related accidents;</li>
<li>Protect patients and users from adverse effects and improve the level of medical care; and</li>
<li>Facilitate the exchange of information with other regulatory authorities in accordance with the Global Harmonization Task Force.</li></ul>
