His Excellency, Executive President of the SFDA, Welcomed a Delegation of the GCC Standardization Organization

His Excellency Dr. Mohamad bin Ahmad Alkanhal, Executive President of the SFDA welcomed the delegation of the GCC Standardization Organization headed by its Secretary General Dr. Anwar Alabdullah. During the meeting, which was attended by SFDA senior officials, both sides reviewed recent and future plans and strategies which revealed several fields of cooperation and integration between both sides. <br />The main issue of the discussion was about protecting consumers especially in fields of food and drug. Exchanging viewpoints and ideas led to confirming the necessity of enhancing technical cooperation and exchanging information as well as experiences between the two sides that assured utilizing all abilities and potentials to benefit all parts. </p>
<p align="justify">The SFDA vision adopts the concept of being a regional pioneer monitoring authority in field of food, drug and medical devices contributes in protecting and enhancing health safety in the Kingdom as well as insuring food safety, drug efficiency and quality and medical devices and products security through building an effective monitoring system. </p>
<p align="justify">It worth mention that the SFDA seeks establishing strong relations with all national, regional and international parts in order to protect consumers and educate them about goods, products and services that harm their health or pollute the environment, and cooperate with effective authorities in the community. </p>
