D. Mohammed Alkanhal the president of the S.F.D.A confirmed that it is the regionally pioneer authority in food and drug fields and he <br />warned against the hazard of imported food which constitutes 60% of consumed food in the Kingdom.<br />D. Alkanhal was hosted in Alameerah Forum in Rejal Alma region last week and he was accompanied with d. Saleh Bawazeer the vice executive president of drug affairs. The forum was held by d. Ahmad Aljaree and d. Alkanhal started by stating that the emblem of the S.F.D.A is (putting first things first), then he mentioned some information about the S.F.D.A, its role and duties. Moreover, he stated that the idea of establishing such authority emanated in year 1419H, and in this year it started its effectual practice.<br />He clarified that the work methodology based on several concepts such as: transparency, clarity, integration of activities, making use of other countries experiences, concerning about the participation of relative authorities and adopting new techniques to form a strong infrastructure. He also mentioned the general objectives of the S.F.D.A which concentrate on the safety of food and drug consumed by human or animals, safety of biochemical preparations and products, making researches and studies and observing regulations.</p>
