CEO of SFDA Meets with Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand

His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, received here today the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of the Kingdom of Thailand Jurin Laksanawisit, and his accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed common interest and ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of food. They also reviewed the current health situation in Thailand and the opportunities for support that could be provided for the Thai side to export meat and poultry to Saudi Arabia.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi Halal Center of SFDA has recently approved a halal certification entity in the Kingdom of Thailand to ensure that meat and poultry are slaughtered and stored according to Islamic law.
