Aljadhey Heads SFDA Delegation at 5th IHFAF Meeting in Singapore

<p>CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey headed the SFDA's delegation participating in the 5th Annual Meeting of International Heads of Food Agencies Forum (IHFAF), hosted in Singapore from April 16 to 20, 2024, under the theme "Food Safety for a Resilient and Sustainable World". The meeting witnessed the participation of 18 countries and 22 organizations, including WHO, FAO, and the Codex Alimentarius Commission.<br />
The SFDA delegation held a number of meetings with Chilean Food Safety and Quality Agency (ACHIPIA), the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), and the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS(.<br />
Aljadhey chaired two sessions on the safety assessment, regulatory frameworks, and risk communication for novel foods. The other meeting sessions covered important topics such as climate resilience and food safety, sustainability and food safety, as well as discussing the activities of IHFAF.</p>
