The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at leveraging shared capabilities and expertise.

The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2025, currently being held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center under the theme "Invest in Health," running until October 30.

The SFDA was represented at the signing by its CEO, H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, and KSAU was represented by its President, H.E. Prof. Bandar Al Knawy.

The MOC establishes a general framework for collaboration in key areas, including the provision of training and advisory services, the execution of studies and scientific research, and the comprehensive exchange of expertise. These activities will positively impact sectors regulated by the SFDA, which encompass food, medicine, cosmetics, medical devices, and supplies.

This strategic cooperation is a direct result of the objectives outlined in the Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the foundational initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030. By enhancing efforts and exchanging specialized knowledge between the SFDA and KSAU, the partnership is set to contribute to improving health safety and security for all segments of society.
