SFDA Alerts From Using Certain Lots of ‘ 1DAY ACUVUE® MOIST®’ Contact Lens for astigmatism, produced by ‘Johnson & Johnson Vision Care’

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">Saudi Food &amp; Drug Authority would like to alert healthcare practitioners and consumers from dispensing or using certain lots of 1DAY ACUVUE® MOIST®’ Contact Lens for astigmatism, produced by ‘Johnson &amp; Johnson Vision Care’ due to different labeling information on the outer package and inner closure of these products. The outer labeling bears lot number B00BVTN 1.50D -1.25cyl. 100º Axis may contain items from lot number B00BSBH -1.75D -0.75cyl. 80º Axis . This may result in using lens of different power by the patient leading to weakening patient’s vision, compared to the familiar lens used by the patient. SFDA made sure that the said lens distributor had recalled the affected lot from the local market.</p>

<p class="ms-rteElement-P">However, SFDA would like to advice all consumers who may have the affected lot to call their distributor to replace them free of charge.</p>
